Luxurious jute rope from Japan, the country of origin of Shibari. The rope is ready to tie and can be used for tying right out of the box. The food-grade, skin-friendly premium quality Tossa jute yarn is treated exclusively with soybean oil and spun into a single-ply yarn using a unique, effectively fiber-reducing technique. This yarn, optimized for softness and stability, is then processed into a loosely laid, outstanding rope that is perfect for Shibari & bondage.

Treated gently with beeswax, polished, flamed and refined with organic, cold-pressed jojoba oil*. The rope is free of JBO (Jute Batching Oil a petrolium-based, potentially carcinogenic substance) as soybean oil and tapioca are used in its manufacture.

Sascha:In Japan, the country of origin of Shibari, jute ropes are the classic ropes for sensual bondage. With good reason: They are light, resilient - and appropriately tied up - supple, easy to walk on and cuddly. It makes knots compact and the golden brown color of the rope looks beautiful on the body and in photos. Compared to hemp ropes, they are significantly less odorous. New ropes are a little stiffer and fluffy at first, but this quickly disappears after the first few ties. So that your rope lasts longer and remains supple, it is recommended to care for it with jojoba oil* from time to time. However, do not apply too much of it, otherwise the ropes can become "soapy" with body heat.

*Strictly speaking, jojoba oil is not an oil at all, but a vegetable wax. However, since its melting point is 7° C and it is the only liquid wax that occurs in nature, the term "oil" has become established. The advantage is that it has a long shelf life and does not go rancid as quickly as other oils. Due to its antioxidant properties, it not only delays the aging of your skin, but also that of your rope. In addition to nurturing properties, jojoba oil is also said to have a healing effect.

The oil consists of up to:

  • 70% from gadoleic acid
  • 15% from erucic acid
  • 10% from oleic acid
  • 2% from nervous acid
  • 1% from palmitic acid

Jojoba oil also contains vitamins B and E, provitamin A, minerals and simmondsin. The jojoba oil we use is cold-pressed and organically produced.

This makes it environmentally friendly AND good for your skin and your ropes.

  • Natural fiber ropes are just that: natural products. This means that there may be small deviations in size or colour. Of course, we pay attention to the highest quality when putting together our ropes, but minor irregularities are unavoidable. The use of the ropes is at your own risk. We assume no liability for the descriptions and instructions. We can neither speak for all eventualities nor be held liable for improper use. Each user bears full responsibility for all consequences resulting from the use of the product. Shibari is a wonderful activity, but it requires experience, knowledge of the subject and the possible dangers. Maintain and check your ropes regularly so that you can enjoy them longer and at the same time see whether they are still suitable for a suspension after a long period of use, for example, or whether they should stay on the ground. Attend workshops to deepen and expand your experience with the ropes while learning to tie more securely.
